The Armor Plan Path

Complicated made simple.

Building has a lot of moving parts. Armor Plan turns the whole project into clear steps you can follow, so you feel educated and good about every decision from dream to move-in.

Our promise: simple steps a new homeowner can follow to get the entire project done.

  1. 1

    Dream it

Start with how you want to live. Browse the Plan Library or bring your own ideas.

  2. 2

    Kickoff meeting

We map your lot or renovation, your budget, and the path ahead. Start here.

  3. 3

    Plan and estimate

A custom plan set and a three-tier line-item estimate. See what is included and pricing.

  4. 4

    Permits and local rules

Walk into city or county prepared. Use the Homeowner Permit Guide and your Local Rules Report (building department + HOA rules for your city and subdivision, with a plan compliance check).

  5. 5

    Utility hookups

Connect water (city or well), sewer or septic, gas (natural gas or propane), electrical, and optionally internet. Your plan lists who to call, deposits and tap fees, lead times, inspections, who does the work, budget ranges that vary, and a checkbox list.

  6. 6

    Bids

Three identical builder bid packets so every bid comes back apples-to-apples.

  7. 7

    Bank

Take your plan and estimate to the lender, organized the way a construction loan review works.

  8. 8

    Build with draws and inspections

Pay for work completed, follow inspections, and keep every change in writing. The 20-Point Checklist stays with you.

  9. 9

    Move in

Final walkthrough, punch list, and the keys. You knew the steps the whole way.
